What is Dampness in the body?
The spleen is responsible for transformation and transportation of the food that is ingested. Dampness occurs if the spleen is impaired in anyway, such as over worrying or poor diet. Dampness in the body is diagnosed by observing the tongue and reading the pulse. One might feel dampness symptoms such as being bloated or feeling ‘heavy’. Heavy in a sense as if you were walking up a hill. The spleen is associated with the color yellow and likes to be warm and dry. Eating foods that do not cause too much moisture is key.
